Official Premiere: WallTech Family | Season 1: Inside Shipping Companies | Part 1

"Stories, Attitudes, and Substantial Insights"

The brand program for international logistics professionals, WallTech Family Season I Inside Shipping Companies, now premiering!

Featuring the most seasoned freight forwarding guests,

Discussing the most crucial international logistics hot topics,

Sharing experiences and insights,

Exploring the arteries of the industry.

The premiere focuses on the following topics:

Interested in becoming a booking agent? What are the rules?

Hazardous & special goods booking: What are the "custom" requirements from ONE and Hapag-Lloyd?

Long-term contract rates vs. spot market: How should shippers decide?

The rise of e-commerce among shipping companies: What impact does it have on freight forwarders?

Recently, several shipping companies have issued notices of rate increases, with this surge primarily concentrated in regions such as North America, Europe, and the Mediterranean. Certain routes have seen price increases nearing 70%.

This collective rate adjustment has been influenced by ongoing tensions in the Red Sea, Western nations actively replenishing their inventories, and the contracting season for trans-Pacific routes in April and May. Shipping companies release these price increase notices to strengthen their negotiating positions for securing higher long-term contract prices. These factors jointly contribute to higher freight rates.

The complex global situation presents new challenges for the development of international logistics and adds a layer of uncertainty to the operations of freight forwarding companies.

Key questions arise for freight forwarders and shipping companies: How can they collaborate closely and form long-term deep partnerships?

What are the specific booking rules of each shipping company, and how can one efficiently secure cargo space?

What are the special rules for booking hazardous and special goods with each shipping company?

Between spot bookings and long-term contracts, which is the more advantageous choice?

With the rise of e-commerce among shipping companies, how should freight forwarders respond and adapt?

Amid the "New Trio" of exports, how can freight forwarders seize opportunities?

Regardless of the circumstances, there are always standout companies in this industry that have carved out paths aligning with their development through years of practical experience.

Pooling wisdom and sharing experiences not only solve doubts but also help collectively shape the development of the industry. It is from this perspective that WallTech Family was conceived.

"WallTech Family," created in partnership with WallTech and many outstanding clients, adheres to the philosophy of "Stories, Attitudes, and Substantial Insights". The program highlights the most pertinent issues affecting the development of the international logistics industry, bringing them into the spotlight and inviting veteran businesses to share and discuss the direction of international logistics.
